I haven’t blogged in a while and it’s only because I’m enjoying my last couple of days on vacation, as much I love vacations I miss Bahrain and Ramadan outside my country doesn’t feel right. As soon as I’m back I’ll blog everyday and I’ll answer the e-mail questions/requests I received – promise.
On to my DIY post…
I went out really early today to run some errands and visit a few appointments (spa, beauty & Reiki – not doctors!) but I was in the laziest mood, so I decided to give the make-up a break. After getting a facial my face was SO red but I promised people I would meet them for lunch. I also did not want to go looking like I got a terrible face rash. I would’ve stopped by the drugstore and picked up anything, but I was running late (as usual…) and needed any kind of coverage or something that could counteract the redness. The only items I had in my bag were..
- Lipgloss
- Setting powder
- A creamy, white moisturizer
- Toothpick
All I did was scrape powder on to my hand and added moisturizer (It should be 1/4 moisturizer and 3/4 powder). Depending on how you like the consistency of your concealer, you can add more of either. After that, I put on some lip gloss and was good to go!
This obviously doesn’t offer as much coverage as concealers would, but it’s a simple do-it-yourself when you want to look as natural as possible (using almost no make-up). You can use the same for foundation, by switching the moisturizer for a more lightweight one and using a darker powder.
