I covered the girl below’s nips. I didn’t want them on my blog
.
(Fleet Ilya Belts, Harnesses & Bag – not clothes.)
Aren’t these leather belts and bag GORGEOUS?! I just love fierce/edgy fashion items that still have a sense of femininity! I’m really surprised that this brand hasn’t been recognized world-wide, but I’m sure those who keep up with fashion have heard of Fleet Ilya. Here’s a description of the designer from their website:
Fleet Ilya is headed by Ilya Fleet and Resha Sharma, the former, Russian-born with training in traditional saddle-making and Resha Sharma a Central Saint Martins Graphic Design graduate from London.
Fleet Ilya can be traced back to a small bedroom in South London where Ilya Fleet began taking his traditional leather training and combining it with a knowledge of 3 dimensional design learned from his late father, a renowned Russian sculptor. The constructive tendencies evident in his rigorous pursuit of functionality and a sublimity of form.
Ilya soon developed what is widely regarded as the signature line, Restraint – a collection of hand-crafted luxury accessories for the sexually playful. Resha became his creative partner and wife shortly afterwards, applying her knowledge of fashion, image making and art direction to blur the line between leather bondage and fashion accessories.
Don’t be intimidated by the word “bondage” – unless you wear these items naked there shouldn’t be a problem , lol. It’s supposed to be “Leather Fashion & Bondage” but it all depends on how you accessorize it with your wardrobe. I love the belt and harnesses because they are a perfect addition to a simple outfit. Simplicity isn’t really my thing, but I don’t like looking over-the-top either. If I had to describe my fashion sense it would be feminine and body-flattering, with a touch of edginess/outrageousness (a part from make-up I live for accessories – and shoes!). Rihanna adores the brand and has worn items from it on several occasions. This is the latest one taken from the set of her Esquire shoot:
I put together a few of my favorite pieces, but you should visit their website here to have a look at the entire collection. They also sell their items online and offer worldwide shipping (free shipping for anyone in the UK).
This is my first “Fashion Spotlight” post. What do you think? Would you wear any of them or do you prefer a more “laid-back” look?
